What is it?

It's Hershey time! So as we are packing our suitcases, sorry no whatizzit today. But who would not have recognised a steaming Stanley in this racer? The superb photo was sent to us by Kit Foster, who wrote the recent released book 'The Stanley Steamer'. Referring to the earlier postcard showing the race at Old Orchard Beach (check earlier feature) he reacts: "Although a web search turns up references to racing at Old Orchard Beach as early as 1910, the first race meeting we could document there occurred September 4-7, 1911. L.F.N Baldwin raced this Stanley steamer there that weekend." (photo courtesy Stanley Museum)
