Bonora-Type Quick-Release Filler Caps – For historic racing cars and newly built specials.
High-quality reproductions of the 1930s Bonora-type quick-release filler caps, suitable for historic racing and period competition cars, including pre-war MG K3 Magnette and Q-Type applications as well as many other marques such as Riley, Frazer Nash and vintage specials.
Manufactured in small batches in our workshops in England since 1970 after our father 'Colvin Gunn' found an original filler cap, These caps are designed for dependable competition use while remaining visually faithful to original pre-war cars. Perfect for pre war car restoration projects.

- Operating lever: Nickel bronze, providing strength, durability, and positive engagement,
- Cap and body: Aluminium castings and polished, reflecting original lightweight racing practice.
- Applications: Suitable for fuel tanks or radiators,
- Fixing: Correct bayonet-type quick-release mechanism for rapid access and secure closure,
Mounting flanges are sold separately:
- Radiator flange: Machined aluminium - £110 Each
- Fuel tank flange: Machined bronze - £95 each
These caps are intended for historic racing, hill climbs, trials, historic competition specials and restorations, offering the correct period appearance without risking scarce original components.
