The Mercedes-Benz 500 K is one of the most important automobiles of the 1930s. Its turbocharged eight-cylinder engine, the technically sophisticated chassis and the high-quality workmanship made it a representative of top-class automotive luxury. The cabriolet versions were and are particularly sought-after - not only because of their elegant lines, but also because of their rarity in the new car range of the time.
The vehicle offered here was delivered in 1936 as a Cabriolet B/C. During the restoration, it was fitted with a Cabriolet A body, one of the most exclusive and sought-after body variants of the 500 K series.
In the course of an extensive, professionally executed restoration between 2009 and 2012, the car was given its current design based on the historic model. The work was carried out to a high standard of craftsmanship by renowned specialist companies in Germany that specialize in pre-war Mercedes models and individual bodywork. The bodywork was carried out on behalf of a passionate Mercedes-Benz enthusiast with high quality standards. The scope of delivery also includes Mercedes-Benz manufacturer expertise.
