1933 Talbot AV105 ‘Fintail’

Inspired by Cambells “Land Speed Record Blue Bird”
This stunning Talbot AV105 was bodied by 'Abbotts of Farnham' in 1933. Abbott already had a contract to build bodies for Talbot and it is understood this Speeding Fintail, clearly a one-off, was destined for the London Motor Show to demonstrate Talbots sporty and robust chassis’s with Abbott’s creative and technical design skills.
Sporting a 3ltr 6 cylinder, single overhead cam engine and Wilson type pre-selector gearbox, she has a sporty 130hp .
Comprehensive history including its full restoration with I.S. Polson, the mark experts in Talbots. John, the son of Ian, fondly talks about the time he was driven around in this particular car during its restoration.
The car is in fact a 4-seater with a beautiful aluminium panel that slides back revealing an additional 2 seats making it an ideal family touring car and certainly one for the Concours d’Elegance circuit. It is a multiple prize-winner in concours events throughout Europe.
The Talbot is presented in excellent condition and ready to be enjoyed.
