Beautifully presented and completely restored following an extensive four-year restoration carried out during the Covid period.

This Veteran car has been restored with great care and attention to detail, retaining its period character while incorporating a number of improvements to enhance reliability and ease of use.

The Restoration

The bodywork was carefully repaired and restored, bringing the car back to an exceptional standard.

All nickel-plated components were professionally re-plated by Genius of the Lamp, Birmingham, giving the car an outstanding finish.

The seating and leather panelling have all been re-placed, resulting in a beautiful finish and in keeping with the character of this De Dion Bouton.

The mechanical restoration has included:

Gearbox, clutches, water pump, fuel tank, water storage tank, radiator, king pin, steering bushes and associated steering components.

The original carburettor retained and included with the car.

Mechanical work carried out by Mick Penny a leading De-Dion specialist.

Electric Starting System

A unique electric starting system designed, manufactured and installed by ourselves to create ease of starting due to arthritis. This provides considerably greater convenience when starting, while the original starting handle remains available and can still be used if desired, allowing the owner to enjoy the traditional starting experience of this veteran.

Supplied with the car is a replica 12V coil within its casing, manufactured and supplied by Mick Penny.

Many pictures of the restoration and receipts, books, documents, information etc to come with the car.

Brasswork and period accessories

The car comes with an impressive selection of brasswork, included in the asking price:

Front brass side lights, brass rear light, brass mirror, brass long-side bulb hooter, brass switches and brass AA period badge.

These accessories compliment the car beautifully and add considerably to its authentic veteran appearance.

This is a wonderful example of one of the pioneering names of the early motor-car era and it is ready for its next custodian to enjoy.
