About the car
At the request of Oxborrow and Fuller, the car was delivered to Vanden Plas, who built both the current and original bodywork to Vanden Plas Design No. 1126. It was then delivered to Lagonda Ltd. in 1934 as body number 3272, ready to take pride of place on the Lagonda stand at the Olympia Motor Show.
Condition
Today, the car remains in very good condition, with its current owner having invested considerable time and money in keeping it in beautiful driving order. The engine runs exactly as it should and pulls very strongly. The cooling system is particularly impressive, even on the hottest days; with just a little blip of the throttle to move the mechanical fan, the temperature can be kept comfortably at 80 degrees.
Handling
The gearbox is the trusted Lagonda T8, allowing gears to be changed with ease. The bodywork is also in fine condition, and the full hood, complete weather equipment, and wind up windows make the car an excellent choice for longer rallies where a little extra comfort is appreciated.
