Rare original French ATHMOS hand-operated pump, of the type associated with vintage Bugatti and other pre-war sporting and racing cars.

A fascinating piece of early motoring engineering, featuring its original nickel-plated metal body, beautifully engraved brass ATHMOS operating knob, dashboard mounting flange and twin connections.

The brass knob carries the original French instruction “VISSER À FOND APRÈS USAGE” (screw down fully after use), together with the ATHMOS manufacturer's marking.

Presented in attractive, unrestored condition with authentic period patina. An interesting original accessory for a Bugatti restoration, pre-war racing car or serious automobilia collection.
