All good things come to an end… BUT it is not completely finished yet! There is one more round of the Vintage Sports-Car Club (VSCC) Speed Championship. Round 10 will not count towards the final standings but will bring the season to a close with a GRAND FINAL!
On Saturday the 29th of September 2018 the Prescott Long Course Hill Climb will be organised by the VSCC for already the fourth year. Incorporating the ‘Ettore`s Loop’ extension, the longer circuit proves a challenge for competitors and a real spectacle for those watching trackside.
Last year (on the 23rd of September 2017) the Prescott Long Course Hill Climb FTD award was won by Nicholas Topliss with his 2000 cc 1938 ERA R4D with a time of 49.42. The Fastest Vintage award won by Dr Robin Tuluie with his 6000 cc 1929 Riley Menasco Pirate with a time of 52.04. And the last overall award for the Fastest Young Driver was won last year by James Crabb with his 1486 cc 1937 ERA R12C with a time of 53.69.
Do you think you can do this soooo much better and would you like to come in action with your own pre-war car? There is not much time for reflection, as you only have until tomorrow (the 17th of September 2018) to sign up online for this hugely popular event. And do not forget, eligibility documents are required.
The day will be concluded with an award presentation in the clubhouse for the VSCC championship competitors and friends.
Would you like to come and watch this spectacle? You can buy your tickets online. The club actively supports spectators to come with their pre-war car so we can create a unique atmosphere and an added display of parked pre-war cars on-site in the front of the Orchard.
We hope to see you all at Prescott!
