The circuits located inside towns have a special interest for every speed lover. Legendary tracks like Monaco, Estoril or Angouleme are remembered due to the intricated curves and daring design. Every year in the last days of the summer the "Circuit des Remparts d'Angoulême", France is challenging venue. A classic car event which reunites lots of interesting cars in a varied range: rally cars, concours cars and of course race cars. The class has suggestive names as "plateau R. Sommer" or "plateau M. Trintignant", this last one reserved for Bugattis. A special treat is the fact that the course is is inaltered since 1939 when the first race took place. We saw well known driver-car combinations cornering sharp; see the Alvis and the Frazer-Nash 'Piglet' in photo 2 and 3. We thought the two (!)Deemsters were a spectacular view. Still it was a bit quiet compared to earlier years, due to Goodwood Revival, only one week earlier? See you in Angouleme maybe in 2014? (photos: Unai Ona)
