A Salute to the 40s (Upd. Love it or hate it!)

One of the events that is getting better and better each year is "Salute to the '40s" taking place at The Historic Dockyard Chatham. If you like to soak up loads of nostalgia, then this is the place to be. This year's theme will be vintage fashion and visitors are encouraged to come suitably dressed in forties style and to join a 'Parade of Forties Fashion'. Alternatively you can purchase clothing and get your hair & make-up done at one of the vintage traders' stands. Some of the best 1940s performers in the business will keep you entertained with singing, dancing and wartime humour. Just watch the action, or even take part as military or civilian re-enactor group.
Salute to the '40s will be held on 15th & 16th September.

As a Yank, I really love these type of events. Went to Goodwood a couple of years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it!
Wish we had similar here in the US.
The couple on the motorbike are GREAT!

Nurse! my tablets!
