A Sunday afternoon like in Sables d'Or Les Pin. (UPDATE: B2-B10 or late C5 ? )

A photofind showing a Citroen( type?) torpedo with two couples having a great day. They are dressed for this special occasion and pose for a photographer who printed the result in the form of postcards. It was never sent and there is no information on the back. We have to rely on the picture and its detailing. We can learn from the registration 42-97-T9 (can you help?). We can admire the dragon mascott. The atmosphere suggests a location somewhere in the south of France, early twenties. Yet this company makes us think of a fine beach resort Les Sables d'Or in French Brittany, in the north west. The complete town with boulevards, shops, garage, a ocean view villas was built in 1921, 1922 0r 1923 (depending on which source you check).  And it is still there.  We can imagine that people as depicted here would have filled the streets and boulevard.

Radiator looks too small and wheelbase to short for anything other than a late C5 5hp tourer

Dear Editor,

As this Citroen has no brake in front, I think it is a B2-B10 type. Concerning the registration, 4297 T9 consists in a registration in the GERS (south of France, department of d'Artagnan and Armagnac), now registered as 32. For more information, please consult this excellent website : http://immat1901.free.fr/ (in french)

With regards
Bruno
