Brett Tompkins has send us some photos of his Austin. He writes: "I have been told it is a 12/6 but one person is adament it is a 14/6 with a Weyman (Sp?) fabric body. Is there such a model? The body work is fabric over a wooden frame and starts behind the engine bay and goes all the way back. However the jury's still out on it being a 12/6 or 14/6? I was talking to a local Austin club member and he said that the car is known to some of their members and it is one of the earliest light six models with a fabric body (Weyman) and 3 speed gearbox. Austin soon changed to 4 speeds, so it could be a 1931 (when the 12/6 came out), maybe 32 model." Brett would love to know more. Can you help?
