    Advance and retard control rod.  Bolts to steering column.  In two sections , top section (what you see  mounted to steering Column) is as per pre war MG (and Morris), lower section could be Wolseley Hornet. You will need threaded sleeve making if you are to use both sections and join together.  Study photo's, what you see if what you get..
