Update: Bas de Voogd writes about the lowered (surbaissé) Ford chassis that they might have made use of the French Montier lowering set(clic). The racing T shown there is also showing nicely protruding friction shocks.
Earlier Text:
Bruno Estibals sends this photo of a Tolosa radiator and engine. Very little is known of the Toulouse make Tolosa, also known as Royal Tolosa. But we don't think they had the time to make everything themselves during their short lifespan which covers the whole year of 1925... Taking a closer look at the the engine (clic) we find that this must be a Chapuis-Dornier. Just like the one listed on our parts pages (clic). Intersting is the double gearshift stick (who can explain?). On top of that, the print advert which is exposed nearby (clic) says that the car has a lowered Ford chassis. Anybody out there who can add to the history of Tolosa? [email protected]
