Almost Beaulieu time!

Just a few weeks and we will be strolling over the fields of the Autojumble. Finding parts, cars and beers. Yes, it is almost Beaulieu time! And as usual, it again looks like to be a fantastic edition. Besides the National Motor Museum, the Bonhams auction, trunk traders and of course the auto market, there is a new addition to the event: Beaulieu's Golden Oldies Display.

The idea is simple but brilliant: the cars of the visitors will be part of the show. From Bristols and Borgwards, through Panhards and Plymouths, Standards and Saabs to Triumphs and Trojans, all manner of pre-booked machines dating from the early days of motoring to 1969 are welcome. Also perfect for those who don't want to walk too far with their just bought parts, as their transport is on the fields.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Display

You probably know the film and the music:

Oh, you, pretty Chitty Bang Bang. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, we love you

And in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, what we'll do

Near, far, in our motor car. Oh, what a happy time we'll spend

Bang bang Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Our fine, four-fendered friend

It is already 50 years ago that this film came out and Beaulieu is celebrating this with a 'fantasmagorical' exhibition. Not only the car is on show, but also many other unique memorabilia.

Bargains and atmosphere

For many of us, Beaulieu is not about the exhibitions, the motor museum (as we have seen that a thousand times already) but about the total picture. Finding gold between the rusty parts, just that one item that you were looking for for years. Or that bargain that you just need to purchase. And meeting friends while doing this. Drink (a couple of) beers and having a good time.

The PreWarCar.com & PostWarClassic.com team is ready for this and we hope to meet you all in Beaulieu on Saturday the 7th and 8th of September. Our stand is at the usual spot on the Red Field, R706/R707. For more information, please visit the website of Beaulieu. See you there!
