Will this be the third mystery in a row this week to remain a mystery? The typical twenties face-hat combination in a convertible Ford, Chevy or what [email protected]? Click the photo for more detail. To be honest we think the car will not be much of a problem. More interesting is the ladies profile. As if we take another angle at the famous 1925 self portrait by Tamara de Lempicka in her green Bugatti ....? (see also TragsnArt.co.uk).
UPDATE II by Stuart Tallak who comes up with a brilliant deduction on the LHD Bugatti: "Perhaps she did the original sketches using a large mirror beside the car."
UPDATE I by Jon Baker:"What on earth is she doing driving a right hand drive car of that vintage unless it's a Pierce Arrow, which it's not? Perhaps your "all American girl" has been transplanted to the U.K. or even Australia? Or is she driving in Sweden at that time? And when it comes to the green Bugatti, I have always thought that vehicles of that make were only manufactured in right hand drive - have you perhaps reversed your picture or is my information wrong?"
Editor: we are not so sure about anything we wrote about this photo. We are even not sure the lady is the driver. She even may be in the rearseat of the car... . We agree that a LHD Bugatti is a very rare sight, to put it mildly..
