Another orphan is back on the road !

Mike West reports about the unique car he bought through these pages in the spring of 2007: a 1915 Harding dual Windshield roadster! Mike writes: "The car was built by Samuel Harding, in Oshkosh Wisconsin. Harding was a bridge builder, had machine shops and was involved in commercial building and early automobile tire manufacturing. He had a desire for a "CAR OF SPEED and INNOVATION" He designed the "Harding STEER SAFE Caster Hub" This was car # 1 and Mr Hardings personal car. The car was built in his own factory using a Wisconcin 60 hp ,6 cylinder ,377 cubic inch, T head engine.(The very same engine used in the 1914 Stutz bearcat) The transmission is a Brown Lippe, the car has a HUGE 132 inch wheel base, and has 27 inch wheels. The body is a 2 passenger roadster. I now have the car running and getting it in shape for the highway. I will keep you informed of my progress." MIKE West
