Evan Ide sends this great portret of a proud Corbin owner with sort of familiar looks:"I did find this photo recently. The car pictured is a Corbin made in New Brittain Connecticut. They produced about 800 cars from 1905 - 1912 the most famous being the Corbin Cannonball Vanderbilt racer. They originally produced mostly air cooled models but introduced water cooled engines in 1908 and stopped air cooled engines in 1910. The car in the photo looks like around a 1910 model (water cooled) probably a 30 horse. It has a nice light weight sporting body on it so it probably performed quite well. The Corbin signature was the point on the top of the radiator that extended into the hood. It is believed only eight Corbins survive today." (photo courtesy Larz Anderson Auto Museum; click for full car. It has four seats, so ample room to take Edith, Gloria and Meathead as well ) ....This picture was found when searching for photos one of the first Lawn Events of the Larz Anderson Auto Museum back in 1934...!
