Barn found ,
but car missing…

Fons Alkemade (NL) is connoisseur of 'obscure' French marques like: "During the last twenty years I have been collecting information about French car marques. At the database contains 1222 of them. Among them about 105 makes which are so obscure that they get a "?" in the list. About the other thousand makes (from A.A.A. down to Zim) I am constantly in search of information: when they existed. By whom they were built? Where were they built and sold? How many? Which models? Of course I try to trace the survivors: I guess that for 750 of these 1000 makes not a sole example survives. But gathering information means that you mostly see paper and pictures. After twenty years I feel the urge to have a real car of wood and steel, an example of one of those ‘surviving’ 250 makes. Since the budget is limited, I have set my heart on the smaller and/or ‘average’ models of the 1920s. (Fons Alkemade visited the pictured 'Agence Donnet-Zedel' between Mirecourt and Mattaincourt years ago, but they appeared to be out of stock...; click for more atmosphere) E-mail to Fons .
