Bugatti type 38 Rousseau Special ? (Upd. Aston Martin Club Badge?)

Two pictures found on the wall of a small 'carrossier' in Cervon, France, halfway Paris and Lyon. They were found after the death of the man in the photo, Mr. Marcel Rousseau, by his son, who never knew his father ever owned a Bugatti. On the back is written: Bugatti type 38, with modified chassis and rebodied in the style of Marcel Rousseau 1952. Based on the strange firewall, crude steering support and seating arrangement one can wonder what the plan of Mr. Rousseau was. Any suggestion is welcome.

The son - also a carrossier - would very much like to know if the car is still around. Of course a very small chance and very hard to say based on this photo. But perhaps-perhaps somebody remembers having seen other photos of the "Rousseau Special"

1952, an old Bugatti at a bodyshop in France. What was the owners intension ? Placing the seating position backwards, making up a wide tube for the support of the steering colom... Making up an all enveloping body ala 101! What was in the magazines in 1952 : from Delahaye to Gordini, from Pinnin Farina to Saoutchick, streamlined all enveloping touring coupes and convertibles...
I wonder if it was made into a car again, or still standing somewhere in a corner....

I don't think a monoposto project. This special made tube and torpedosheet is much to wide, the steering wheel is much to high (can he look between or over the wheel?)and the luky man must have very looooong legs for the pedals wich have not a good angle for the foot's. So what?

Based on what you see in the photos it looks like someone intended to transform this type 38 into a monoposto "racing car". Given the limitations of the type 38 engine it comes as no surprise that history seems to have overlooked this car.

Is that an Aston Martin Owners Club badge on the radiator core?
