The twin mirror mystery of yesterday inspired Per Westerberg from Sweden to send a photo of an early driving school: "According to gifted auto historian Mr. Gert Ekström, there were no fewer than two driving schools founded in Stockholm during 1909, the very first one already in 1907. So it is easy to assume that they existed much earlier in for example France and the USA. My grandfather, Mr. Einar Hellsén, belonged to the first Swedes to take advantage of the new trend. Born in 1893 in rural Söderala, he was running his own "Chauffeur School" by around 1916-18 in Söderhamn some 300 km north of Stockholm. From there he soon began trading his school cars and ended up as founder/owner of AB Bil & Truck, at the time the biggest Volvo retailer in Western Sweden."
