Classic protest! (UPDATE: Henry Ford as well ! )

Last Sunday in Munich (Germany) a crowd of classic and vintage cars came together to protest against the threat of new city legislation. Despite the weather being non classic friendly over 400 cars did show up. More than twice the number expected. In view of new pan-European regulations Munich wants to ban all cars from the city which produce more than a set amount of ultrafine dust. Especially diesel cars have a bad reputation in this view, but also classic cars and older. Classic cars which can't comply with the new regulations will be banned from the town of Munich as from January 1, 2007. UPDATE II "by Henry Ford himself" see.... Ford Motor Company UPDATE by Bas de Voogd: "I reckon that we should start running on bio fuels and maybe a special catalytic converter. The bio fuel will of course be too low in volume to be sold through the regular networks of fuelpumps as we know now, but that can be solved to go back to the real old days and be sold in Fuel Cans again ! A Model T will run on anything. In the past you could buy special carburettors to run on parafine. In my previous T which was being used a lot I always used up all sorts of dirty fuel and it never reacted badly to that.
At a Bio Ethanol station in Rotterdam (NL) during the opening they filled up a Citroen 2CV here and it ran after hardly any modification. See also Best-Europe.org "
