You will have heard by now: The 100 miles of Amsterdam had to be cancelled/postponed due to really serious snowfall. Yes, we did ask for snow, but not that much!!
One of the competitors would have been Dennis Boxem, who introduced his car to us last week:
“My late 1927 Studebaker Erskine was previously owned by my father but as he became seriously ill in late 1986 the family decided to sell the ‘Stude’. The Studebaker Erskine had led a busy working life, starting from its sale in 1928 throughout WWII. During the early fifties it was used as a doctor’s car in the town of Veyle, Denmark. The car was retired in the late fifties and spent several years in a barn before my father traded it for a much used Volvo 544 in the late 1960s. The engine was completely overhauled in 1968 and the Erskine spent most of its remaining life being used at special events and weddings.
