Detail of a fully restored car.

This is a fine example of restoration modern style. Retain whatever is possible and repair only what is needed. This may differ from car to car. But certainly with a documented historic racing car like this 1934 Le Mans Singer team car one must be very careful in what to redo, restore and repaint and what not. The buff log book with this car shows the car being registered on May 18 1934 to Singer & Co. As part of the 1934 Works Le Mans team driven by Black and Baker it was first in the 1000cc class having covered 2203 kilometres, a feat recorded on the dash plaques of other Singer Nines (see Singer Le Mans history). Proof of that the car is still as fast as in the old days is that it was sold in no time. You can still find it listed at Gavin Mcguire's pages but it has gone round a next corner of history.
