“The cheapest automobile in the world. Everybody should have one,” was an advertising slogan for the Orient Buckboard, made in Waltham, Massachusetts. It wasn’t to be, as today there are very few left and we haven’t seen many on the market recently. But with the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run on the horizon, we found something nice for you at RM’s London Auction on October 26th. It’s a totally restored 1904 Orient Buckboard that comes complete with an entry for the upcoming London to Brighton. Has there ever been a better chance to acquire a turn-key (so to speak, turn-tiller would be better) veteran with which you can leave London on the sixth of November? Its 4 hp single cylinder engine should get you right on time in Brighton.
