Feeling the Meccano Mood?

Most of us, the males of a certain age anyway, have grown up making constructions of Meccano. Cranes, trains and of course automobiles. However, growing up means leaving the Meccano sets behind and get on with life. As you get older you start longing back to just putting things together. Do you feel the same way? Maybe then you'll need to take a look at this project especially for grown-ups which we found at Bonhams auction at the Simeone Foundation on October 7. It's a kit of parts that, when assembled, should be looking like an early twenties Italian O.M., model 469. It's Bonhams first lot, nr. 501, but be warned... the O.M. may look fairly complete, yet each and every part, except maybe the drive train has to be restored. Already feeling the Meccano mood take over?
