A unique time-journey through automotive history

The circular baroque garden of Schwetzingen Castle will again be the arena for an automobile journey through time this coming weekend, because nowhere else will 160 selected classic vehicles from the most diverse epochs be exhibited in succession to their years of construction. Whether it's a steam-powered Stanley, an electric car, a french motor coach or „economic miracle“-microcars or even state cars and clever individual developments - CLASSIC-GALA SCHWETZINGEN 2019 shows, how the automobile has developed and that design is an important criteriun. The whole show in a circular garden of 400m diameter is accessible for the family-friendly admission price of only 6 euros.

Included is a Bugatti T 46 from 1932, which became famous as the "Petit Royale" royal car, but also the first show of all Glas-Automobiles from the Goggo scooter and the Goggomobil to the elegant 2600 GT with Frua-body of 1967 - an incredible economic miracle story.

Remarkable is also the Jaguar E-Type hearse from the film "Harold & Maude" , as well as the stainless steel DeLorean from the film "Back to the Future".

In the park, selected companies also present automobilia, stylish clothing, literature, model cars and accessories. In addition there is live jazz with the well known Band "Strangers", piano jazz live, the castle gastronomy attracts spectators on the terrace and in the beer garden. At the southern castle-wing renowned artists exhibit their automobile-related works, and in the US-Car-Concours USCCC there is a fashion show of the 50s to 70s every afternoon between the road cruisers. Main US-Theme in 2019 is 60 years of Chevrolet Corvair, the only american-series-car with aircooled rear-engine!

Strolling, enjoying and experiencing automobile history in peace and quietness - Classic Gala Schwetzingen is an inimitable way of doing this: around 20,000 enthusiastic visitors came in 2018.
