Garage Steutel a few years ago. (Upd. 1925 Peugeot 172BC Quadrilette)

No-one thought he would have a future when back in 1982 Jan Steutel bought the old garage on this picture. Yet his business of restoration, buying and selling of (mostly Italian) classic cars has gone from good to better during the past 29 years. His garage in Almkerk, The Netherlands, was the first in the county and dates back from 1920. This picture comes from the family album of the previous owner and was taken somewhere early 1930. Note the as yet unpaved road, the signs advertising Pirelli and Hevea tires and the Shell pump. The car on the right looks like a Ford Model A (click main pic), but what is the car in front of the pump? Look at the weird mounting position of the headlights! Tell us your thoughts…

"His garage ... was the first in the county"? What do you mean? I am sure there were garages in this region well before 1914.
