Michael Ware responds to this weeks earlier feature about Disney Paris by sending this photo and his comments:"Not sure who made the cars for Disney in Paris, but the late John Mitchell, one time Chairman of the VCC made the ones originally in use in Disney Japan (homepage Thomas Joey). I suspect Hertz took on sponsorship of the cars after they were built and had no say - perhaps the decision makers did not even know of the company history. I have one picture of a Hertz car, this is in the eccentric collection of cars automobilia and other collectables of Lee Hartung, outside Chicago (ChicagoHOG.org). It's open to the public and he is a fascinating man to talk to. This is a 1926-27 Hertz, one of only 35 built in that year I was told and one of the very few Hertz cars surviving in the States. Alongside it is a coffin in which there is reputed to be a mummified body - I did not look." (photo courtesy Motormuseums.com)
