My name is Grenville Gore Langton, and currently I reside in Bath, Uk.
I am hoping that another regular reader or member of PreWarCar, can assist me. For many years I drove a 1928 Chrsyler75 and a 1932 Ford Model A in Washington DC. Both cars owned by a very great friend and we used to enter the Chrysler every year in the Glidden Tour which usually lasted a week and some large mileage. We were very lucky as we only had one serious problem in the five years I drove – total brake failure – an interesting experience.
If I can I would very much like to join a tour if someone has spare capacity, a need for a 65-year-old driver. I was brought up with vintage cars as my grandfather had a 1934 Triumph Gloria Speed model – six-cylinder Coventry Climax engine. My first car was a 1948 Wolseley10 bought from a Scrap Yard for £6.00 in full roadworthy order.
