Imagine yourself behind this wheel

We’ve always had a fascination for the 1920s Lancia’s, so we took notice when we noticed this Lambda coming up for auction. This one is a 1927 Tipo 78 with an 2.4 liter overhead camshaft V-4 engine. There’s a dash plaque indicating it was originally delivered by Shields Motor Company in Melbourne, Australia (Do we know them? Were they Lancia dealers?). The Lancia seems to have spent most of its life in Australia, where it was restored and then -in 2004- exported to the USA. She sure looks nice enough to think about a trip to Missouri where the Lancia will be offered by Branson during their auction on April 8-9.
