Introducing: Zbrojovka ! (Update II: look under 'Z' )

Paul Linster was kind enough to send us a report about a small vintage car outing last weekend in Luxembourg. "Some 8 cars of the "Veteran car club Grand-Ducal" took a journey out from Luxembourg through the wonderful "Forêt d'Anlier" in Belgium to Libramont with a visit of the Musée des Celtes (don't forget to check here the Celtic pre-war Char ). All this aside it was a test for three cars that never before had seen the Luxembourg roads. The 3 litre Bentley of organiser Jean-Marie Gillen, a BMW 326 and a car of which most of us never ever had heard before: a 1936 Czech built Zbrojovka." Possibly later Georgano's do report about the make, our 1976 reprint was not yet aware of this exceptional car. Also on internet not too many pages are wasted on this make. Here is one showing another example. Probably the best thing to learn more about this exceptional vehicle is to list yourself for the international Luxembourg 'Rallye Fin de la Vacances'... Or do we have a true Z-connoisseur around? [email protected] (photos Paul Linster)
UPDATE II: The name Zbrojovka is not found like this as a chapter in Georgano. Kit Foster advises to check under the second make with the name 'Z'. The first being from Italy, the second our Czech carmaker which produced cars from 1924-1939.
UPDATE by Peter Pegg who found the orginal (arms) manufacturer Zbrojovka Brno. Plus another Zbrojovka gallery.
