It all started with a trunk of old racing memorabilia

It is so admirable how passionate Brian Blain is able to talk about PreWarCars. Please take 5 minutes time to watch and listen to this gentleman's story. It all started with a trunk of old racing memorabilia.

Great project! They ought to bring them over to the UK for a season with the VSCC.

Magnificent! Do not store in a shed or museum, but drive your prewar car! While having a great experience yourself, spectators can perfectly enjoy your museum piece live without buying an entrance ticket. This is how history really comes to life as it was meant to be.

Brian Blain is a great vintage enthusiast. He helped organize an event in San Diego to commemorate the Point Loma race of 1915. Brian brought the cars shown on his video plus more. On-track demo laps were as close to being at the 1915 race as possible, complete with sounds and drivers wearing vintage driving uniforms. Randy Reed ran his UNRESTORED 1914 Tahis race car that actually competed in the 1915 Point Loma race. This was a time to remember. Thanks Brian.

While this video has been online for quite some time it's absolute quality stuff of which you just can't get enough. It's filmed brilliantly, it's got the right pace and every single word the narrator says is just right. This a must-see for any veteran car enthusiast and a superb piece of education for any prewar-car novice. These magnificent machines have to be used - like the ones in my attached photo (taken in Germany in 2015).
