Le Mans 1937. (UPDATE)

As you probably know we'll have a Le Mans Classic later in September. Unfortunately in the same weekend as the also very attractive retrospective Klausenrennen Hillclimb of Switzerland. Anyway, this 1937 pits shot is showing the Aston Martin 1,9 L Speed Model of the team Morris-Goodall/Hitchens, finishing in 11th position. In the background nr. 54, a MG Midget PB of the ladies team Stanley-Turner/Riddell.(see for more details the great: Le Mans Register by Stefan Örnerdal from Sweden. Intriguing about the Aston is the cardboard at the lower section of the radiator. Engine warm-up? Taken away blower? UPDATE by James Holland: 'Definitely not a blower.
