Leon Molon Plate question
Letter to the editor
Does anyone knows more of this plate or its value. I believe my late father recovered it from an early De Dion Bouton found in a hedgerow back in the 40's. I see its match on a 1904 Coupe sold by Bonhams in 2014 and wonder if it is of interest.

Léon Molon was quite an interesting figure in French motoring in the early 20th century. He had a garage but he was also a racing driver and aviation pioneer. Several cars survive which have this plate attached on them. But you can never tell whether a plate has been with the car from new... You can find more on Molon in several groups of Facebook.
