Lincolnshire's very own `mini Nurburgring`
This year the Formula Vintage visits six modern race venues in the United Kingdom. All pre-war (and post-war) races are organised by the Vintage Sports-Car Club (VSCC). In exactly a week time it is already time for the Formula Vintage Round 3. On the 22nd of July 2018, Cadwell Park is the race place to be. The circuit is also known as Lincolnshire's very own `mini Nurburgring`. So, that promises to be a spectacular day!
Last year the race was won by a Frazer Nash. But an MG drove the trophy home for the Best-Placed Car across the entire field. So are you ready for a breath-taking rematch? But don`t forget this is not the only race you can behold on the day. The Shuttleworth and Nuffield Trophy Races are there for both pre- and post-war sports-cars. The Spero & Voiturette Trophy Race for small capacity racing cars, the Garry Whyte Riley Handicap Race and the Frazer Nash Race. And don`t forget the Intermarque Trophy Race.
At 9:00 AM starts a wonderful day full of race excitement! Unfortunately, you are not able anymore to enter for the races. But of course, you are more than welcome to watch the races. You can pre-book your tickets here online.

I too was at that meeting at Cadwell, I even still have a photo of receiving a trophy that day, but cannot remember for what placing. I seem to remember finishing in the lake at the first left hander in the first heat! Great fun.

Cadwell is definitely a great track to race on.
I only raced there once, and that was in (on?) my Buckler space frame kart around 1960.
I remember that outside of one of the corners was a barn, and before practice/racing could start, the barn doors were opened at both ends, so that you could go straight through, if you had the misfortune to go "off" there.
