Lots of parts at Hershey?

Planning to buy lots of stuff at Hershey? In that case it might do you good to visit RM's auction on Thursday. Go and have a look at this 1910 Schmidt truck. Never heard of the make? Neither did we and we couldn't find it in Georgano's Commercial Vehicle Encyclopedia. Anyway, it was made in Crossing, Illinois. The Schmidt Brothers Co. used this pre-production model as a testbed for their future range of trucks which lasted until 1913. This one has been on display at the AACA museum and will need some fiddling to get it into running order. But when it does, it will not be quick, but will help you to get all your parts home!
