Of course you knew at first glance that this is a Bosch sparkplug tester.. ;-) For the younger with us, this model was in use maybe 100 years ago. The sparkplug is mounted upside down in the copper unit behind a small but thick inspection glass. High voltage is evoked by turning the magneto on the left. Compression(!!!) comes from the right rounded chamber(looks a bit like a Citroën DS compressed gas-ball). Owner & Austin Seven specialist Henk Janssen is looking for someone with a manual for this nice and very useful tool. Well... er...let us know what you've got on the shelf. We will try to contact the manufacturer (www.Bosch.de). By the way, did you know that Robert Bosch started his engineering workshop in Stuttgart in the same year as the first Benz started it's engine (1886)? (photo editor)
this isnt the first, because the hand-magneto is built for starting the airplane engine in a firstWW.
I think is a self costruction, whit some Bosch parts...
Exist much older plug tester from RobertBosch whit out magneto but whit tramblercoil and a big steel block for fitting 6 plugs.
All Greetings
