"In foreign lands, at the famous pleasure resorts, on the touring routes of the world, wherever you meet people whose position and training accustom them to the best - there in increasing numbers you find Lozier - the choice of "Men Who Know." (advert, Collection Horwitz)
We like to believe that the rare & costly quality car Lozier ever was exported to Holland, the milkmaids and little farmer boy are easily recognised by their costumes and clogs. The explanation of course is that the marketeers made up some far out locations to get across their story about quality and durability. So if there are any other ads in this campaign, don't be suprised to see the same car in Paris, Moscow or even Shanghai... Still a few US oddballs really made it to the spongy roads of the flatlands Holland. Some even try the 400 year dead end street leading to the PreWarCar premises. Is that a Lozier turning there?. No, just one letter back in the US car alphabet.... a 1911 40 HP Knox !. UPDATE by Fons Alkemade: Lozier was advertised in Holland only in 1917. This by the General Automobile Company in Amsterdam. WWWI probably prevented a real import and at the same time Lozier was closed in the same year. So chances are minimal that a Lozier really ever drove in Holland in that era.
