Trying to locate 1939 Opel Super Six cars, not named Kapitän

We received a nice report from mr Franklin Moquette about his 1939 Opel Super Six, which is part of a small serie of Opel 'Kapitän' cars which did not receive that particular name. He is now trying to locate the last surviving non-Kapitän Opel Super sixes.

“The Car Show of Geneva has been for over one hundred years an event where the great car brands present their new models. Next year it will be exactly 75 years ago when the then new Opel Kapitän of 1939 was presented. Even as late as last year the Opel Kapitän of 1939 was chosen in the Top-20 of the most exciting dreamcars that ever had their premiere at the Geneva Car Show.

The car made a great impression on my father (Jean Pierre Moquette) too, all the way in the Dutch East Indies, because he ordered one via the Lindeteves-Stokvis trading firm. When he and his family arrived on leave in the Netherlands in July 1939, the Opel Kapitän was waiting for them at the Opel-Vauxhall dealer Van der Valk in The Hague. To his surprise the Opel was not named Kapitän, but 'Super Six'. For political reasons General Motors had chosen to use the name of the previous model instead of the military German name for the export version that was produced in Antwerp (Belgium)."

Dear Igor, There is nothing wrong with your English! You are perfectly understandable. I don't have pictures of the name-badge Super-Six on the hood (yet). Stupid me! But on the Internet I found a photo of a dashboard that shows the right Opel-Logo of a Super Six. Kapitans always have the logo 'Kapitan' on the dashboard-locker!

@Herman et al: The car used in Soldaat van Oranje is my 1950 Kapitän. I would like to see the photos you took.

@Stuart: They were 'exported' to the Soviet-Union during 1941-'45, but that is not what you mean. They were exported from Antwerp to as far as the Dutch East Indies, South-Africa and Argentine. But until now, I only found one in South-Africa which I suspect to be a 'Supersix-Kapitan'. No badges on the hood, but nowhere 'Kapitan' to be found either and clearly just 'Opel' on the dashboard. I also wonder how many were produced in Antwerp from January 1939 till May/June 1940. One thing is sure: The Wehrmacht seized most of them!

Franklin,
I,like you, wonder how many Super 6's were sold, and how many have survived.
Would they have been sold worldwide ?
I wish you all the very best in your unenviable search

To Stuart Penketh: Yes, on our car there are on both sides of the engine-hood the badges with Super-Six, so written out and not like Super6 as on the 1937-'38 model. And everywhere else on the car the badge 'Opel' is used or the circle-with-zeppelin badge instead of 'Kapitan' (dashboard, hubcaps and bumpers).
They even made brochures of this Super-Six in three languages!

@herman, The Opel used in soldaat van oranje is a later, probably a 1949 kapitan.

The ribbed profiles were on the 37-38 Super six, (different body). But if the later (Super six ?) was just a rebadged Kapitan, then this feature would not appear on this new body style.
I would be interesting to find out if any Super Six badges are on this 39 model ?
Any on there Franklin ?

I thought the Opel Super Six had 3 ribbed profiles in the trailing edges of it's front and rear wings?
