Patrick Rooney wrote to us saying that he regularly uses his vintage Vauxhall 30-98 and 1927 Angela caravan for short and long trips from Great Britain to the continent. These trips include going to Le Mans and tours of Brittany. Patrick wouldn't dream of taking a modern car unless absolutely necessary. One such trip was in 2005 to the Loire Valley for the International Veteran Cycle Association IVCA. “There were three of us and we took two Penny Farthings as part of the trip. We had no real problems apart from having to spend the night in motorway parking places due to ferry delays.” But the delay was spent in proper camping style, judging by the rug and the chandelier (click).
