Motorcycles - Which picture do you like the most?
This is a slideshow of a beautiful collection of black and white photographs of people and their motorcycles. Young and old - posing or in action (on the track). A wide variety of models from the beginning of the 20th century until the 1950s. Harley Davidsons, Indians, Nortons, Triumphs and other well-known brands but also various examples and prototypes we have never seen before.
In this great diversity of pictures, the number of ladies is very noticeable!

A hello to all the knowledgeable readers. In the video, at min. 6.35 two motorcycles appear, which I cannot identify . Can anyone here help? Interesting is especially the front one, which is a little bit like the Hildebrand & Wolfmüller of 1894, but it is clearly different.

Yes, it's a Holden flat-four from 1898 that we have on display at Whitewebbs Museum of Transport in Enfield, England.

Surely the front machine is a Holden flat four motorcycle designed by Col.Holden who went on to design the Brooklands motor course. It had become a somewhat out of date design by the time registration was introduced into the UK in January 1904, but I did come across one registered CJ 176 (Herefordshire) owned by E A Bellow of Leominster registered in February 1905, so surely somewhat secondhand by then, and subsequently finding its way to Co.Louth in Ireland. I believe at least one survives in the Science Museum collection.

I like most of them. Nice ladies no doubt. But the one I like most is the Daimler Reitwagen, mainly because I have one myself.
