a few days ago I have acquired an old (veteran?) chassis, complete with the exception of engine and radiator. I guess it is a Darracq chassis but cannot find out which type: There is a brake mechanism for the contracting band brakes with a very high sitting locking mechanism - must be on the rh side of the bench. Then there is a substantial rear axle with torque tube, chassis re-enforcement underneath and quite some space between the front and rear engine mounts (425 mm from center to center).
I am curious about finding out which type (or brand if not Darracq) and what engine and radiator it is meant to have!
Thanks for your help!
Thomas

ce chassis est bien un Darracq de 1901 ou 1902, 20cv ou 26cv car le moteur 1903 sur mon catalogue a 3suports de chaque cotés on voit bien les supports de radiateur droite et gauche a l'avant j'ai le plan des boites.
Good morning Sir,
Pictures look especially interesting. It would be lovely to see some more images though. Please feel free to contact me at [email protected].
Thank you.
I have 4 Darraqs, & have restored a dozen or so more, & the chassis in not even like any Darracq I have ever seen.
Darracq last used a tubular frame in the populair of 1903.
