We will try to start a new midweek series of strange, funny or otherwise odd looking cars or bikes. So if you come across the unusual or the very unusual, don't be shy and send in what-U-have. Now the car on show today is not that strange. Kind of average overstated street rodded '32 Roadster. Flames on the side and too much pipe. But... in this exceptional case there is a reason for those cliche additions. Take a closer look at what's under the hood. No, it is not the usual big block, twin barrel, etc. It is errr... a little Boeing jet unit.... This very special special was created in 1962 by Leonard Williams. During the year the car is on display at the Harold E. Lamay Museum . (seen at Amelia Island Concours; photos Ben Lake)
