Nice '09 DeDion, but no pop-pop-pop...

This 1909 Dedion Bouton project is going along well. Click mainphoto for a better view. Also the dash and gauges are near completion. However as it is now, it will be a very silent car as a correct engine is still missing. It's relatively easy to find the early one cylinder DDB engine. We see them regularly in our parts columns. But this one needs the more  'modern'  post-veteran engine (check picture). We understand that three engines are candidate: the year can be 1908 – 1909 – or 1910 , the engine is mechanically operated side by side (not sure what that means however). The engine sizes could be 100 X 160 – 100 X 250 or 100 X 300. Now if you can help, please  e-mail Rick Nicolaas.

it means that these engines used a mechanically operated inlet- and exhaust valve ( wich were parallel together on the outside of the cylinder!)

Side by side? Could mean side valve or T head (side by side cams)or individual cast cylinders? Take your pick!
