No mysteries today, just a nice family photo sent by Rene van Eymeren (NL). "My father was born in 1925 in the former Dutch Indies and lived there until he was 6 years old in a place called Krawang near the former capitol Batavia (warintedjogja.com) (now Jakarta). His father was the administator in a rice refining mill and judging by the photo business went well."
First we thought the car to be an Italian Ceirano, but Ceirano enthusiast Frazer Sloan comments: "Definitely no Ceirano, chassis and body all wrong. Pretty sure it is an OM." Anybody out there who can precisely pinpoint year and type of this OM? [email protected] (UPDATES came in from Marc Fellman, Alex Kwanten and Rene van Eymeren all saying it is a Tipo 469. Marac added: "...could be a tipo 469 from 1922 onwards. Especially around
the radiator, bonnet, fenders, doors and windscreen." Alex Kwanten adds:"...is a 1.5 liter 469S. The year is harder to pinpoint, but judging from the bodywork I'd ballpark it between 1927 and 1929."
