Parking Tickets not only today's disease.

Says Hans 'Hisso' Veenenbos: "These two mastodons were captured not only by a photographer, but also by a policeman, as witnessed by the parking tickets behind the wipers of three cars. We have seen the Chrysler Imperial (chauffeured by the father of Mrs. Blom) before, but not in the company of the Hispano-Suiza with its expensive Stephen Grebel headlamps (Italparts.com has one...). Both cars have a provincial license plate from the Netherlands (N.H. letter G) and could very well be from Amsterdam." Hans Veenenbos, a Hispano owner himself, identified the Hispano as being a 6.6 liter model H6B and found out that the licence was in the name of V.Leonhardt Wirix. Interestingly a Mr. W. Leonhardt did the Monte Carlo Rally in 1931 with two friends on a Hispano-Suiza. This one?" Hans is always searching for good period shots of Hispano's. See also his Hispano pages. You can e-mail him as well. (photo collection Mrs. Blom)
