Report by Per Westerberg who found an undated 6 cylinder torpedo bodied Brasier and is looking for information:
"In december at a Monday evening meeting of the AHK (Automobilhistoriska Klubben), I had a chat with a fellow member I never met before. I told him I´m deep into older cars before 1925. He said: “I have a Brasier that I´ve been thinking of selling”, and I almost fell off the chair. He bought it in Sweden in 1963, had it dismantled and boxed, and never came to work on it. Basically, the engine and transmission, axles etc were in the basement of his house, whereas the chassis and body were in the barn of his farm north of Stockholm. Not surprisingly - after thorough inspection - I was very happy to purchase the car in June this year, and with the help of four fellow enthusiasts it was transported to my garage. Much to my surprise, the article on the Berliet torpedo body appeared a little earlier the same week!
With the car I got a color photograph showing what was said to be a 6-cylinder car from around 1909-13 (see engine in current condition; see chassis in recent cleaned condition and finally check mock-up of the car in Per's garage). The car is thought to have spent all of its life in Sweden, possibly having been requisitioned for some time by the swedish army during WW1. Possibly the body is of later date like the Berliet-type like showed on PreWarCar, with the addition of a built-in (german style) slot for the cab, around the back seat." (editor: at this point Per is not sure to keep this body or to go back to a more formal touring body) ....continue... at Read More )
