By Keith English: “The weather didn't quite hold up for the Twentieth Annual Run of the Irish Model T Ford Club in Pontoon Bridge, Co Mayo. Christy Doyle proves that Model T men are hardy creatures, no more so than Joe and Ken Crann who roaded their T all the way from Mullingar. Eamonn Dunne had his hearse on standby, but already had a paying customer. As the run neared Achill Island, the weather got much worse and improvised waterproofs were donned. Organiser Tom Connor finally had his long term 1911 project out on the road, pictured with his brass polishing crew, the earliest car was John Hendy's 1909 but, with T's, there are never quite two the same (click main pic).” (text & photos Keith English)
