Rally Barcelona-Sitges.

A wall decoration that is to be found in the old center of Sitges. Next Sunday some 100 pre 1925 cars will try to reach the old Spanish tourist resort from Barcelona, a 20 miles drive... The 45-th Rally Barcelona-Sitges is the Spanish 'London to Brighton Run' that, contrary to the British event, does not close but will open the season for veteran car lovers. The joyful traffic jam of brass automobiles and stylishly dressed drivers and passengers will bring spring to the old coast road. After the fatigues of a morning's veteran drive, the competitors will have a few hours to relax at the old harbour front. From my own experience I can tell you that Sitges has excellent fish cuisine. Sitges used to be a center of motorsport in the twenties when the circuit Autodromo Nacional (mountain view) was opened. Due to financial problems and following that the Spanish civil war, the circuit came in obscurity until quite recently. Maybe, maybe, maybe this gem in Sitges' backyard soon will be restored to former glory (photos by editor).
